Hope everyone enjoyed the winter! The shooting season seems to be coming on us quickly. There is a lot of news to share.

First the bad news, Josh (our old club president) discovered he has a tumor, everyone be sure to keep him in your thoughts and wish him the best.

Last year was a good year for the club and we came out in the black. We hope to spend some of that money this year on new equipment as well as some new adventures.

The club officer vote left all the club officers from last year in office. Some club officers took on some new roles but everyone is still here. Brooke (score boss) will be missing the first few matches due to her expecting in May.

In February three club officers will be traveling to St Louis to get certified as SO's, as well John will officially become and SO instructor so we will be organizing an SO class to get other volunteers certified, with the official date to be announced later.

This year we have extended the shooting season by 2 months. Although those dates are tentative, we hope the weather cooperates with us. The club will also be adding a 2 more shoots on off days. The first will be a Night shoot where we will be shooting at the North Linn Fish and Game club at night, the second being a three gun class, this will give everyone an opportunity to get there AR's and Shotguns out early and try some new stuff. The night shoot, three gun class, and three gun even will be limited sign up this year. This sign up will be handled by the website, and should open a month before the shoot.

A ticket book will also be offered to shooters, this is being done in order to boost up front income for the club. This will help us get some more goodies to use throughout the year. A separate e-mail will be sent out for this to make sure everyone sees it.

We are also actively seeking sponsors. The sponsors could donate materials to the club, or monetary donations. If you or anyone you know may be interested contact the webmaster.

Linn County always encourages new shooters; you can come and watch or participate. Prior to participating or watching please review the Safety rules. You can review the Schedule here. If you would like to shoot please contact John at LinnIDPAso.9.jdinnis@recursor.net to set up a time to complete your safety briefing. Everyone is required to complete a safety briefing prior to shooting your first match.
